My Journey and Vision

As someone who weighed 305 lbs, I understand the weight and frustration of feeling like there is more out there for you, but not knowing where to turn to first. I struggled for years with weight loss, having some successes and even more major failures. I tried everything from diet pills, to crash dieting, to extreme weight loss tactics. The desire to change has always been there, and the tools, resources, discipline, and consistency got lost along the way in each battle.

The lack of self-confidence, the giving up, the losing trust in myself, the hopelessness of starting over. The standing on the scale over and over and over again. My issues stemmed from when I was a child all the way until I turned 30 never breaking all the way through to a healthy weight. I used to get bullied and called pretty hurtful names. I realized that if I made fun of myself before they made fun of me, that I could pre-empt the attack. I became a people pleaser, doing what I could to make people see me, or like me. I lost all respect for myself.

At my lowest, I may have gotten to 240 lbs at best before ballooning back up to 305 lbs. Finally enough was enough. I had to decide that cheat days were a thing of the past. I had to commit to a lifestyle of change. I had to commit to wellness, and better health. I had to know what life might be like if I conquered the thing that has burdened me my entire life. I had to create LASTING PERMANANT CHANGE. No more diets, no more shortcuts, one step at a time.

Fast forward from 2017 to now, the once 305 lb man is now 195 lbs (and still going), in the best shape and health of my life, and has signed up for his first marathon after running is first half. Over the last three years I have really been focused on sharing my journey with others to help them get better, and motivate them to take that first step towards self love and self betterment.

My vision is to be able to truly help inspire, motivate, and develop people to find that starting point, and commit to that version of themselves that feels so out of reach, and equip them with the tools, resources, support, and guidance to make it happen.

We aren't talking about just a fitness program or a diet to follow. We are talking about the skill set to attack challenges, do the hard things, remain consistent/disciplined, and have the strength to move forward toward that ideal self. I am so excited to be taking the time to help out a select group of individuals and do what I can to enable their long-term success.
